May 19, 2007	Ladies Kennel Association of America dog show, Oyster Bay, NY: Terry and BAILEY are at it again in the Rally ring! BAILEY earned a qualifing score and a fourth place finish, as he achieved his second leg in pursuit of his Rally Advanced Title. To quote the judge ... "Good job, guys!" At the same show, Margaret handled LYLAH in the Conformation ring. LYLAH showed beautifully, and was awarded Reserve Winner's Bitch, under judge Mr. Robert Stein. Not bad for only her second showing.
May 6, 2007	Trenton Kennel Club dog show, West Windsor Township, NJ: LOGAN (K'Mander Island Runner), handled by Margaret, goes Winners Dog / Best of Winners and earns a *3 Point Major* under Judge Laura J. Dedering! This now gives Logan 14 points (with both majors). Only one more point needed for his championship ... Way to go Logan!
April 7, 2007	HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! The Islandflats Rock N Roll "A" litter celebrates its first birthday today! Crystal and Logan wish their children: PIPER, C.J., LYLAH, and RASTA a very Happy Birthday, as the pups turn one year old! The whole Islandflats crew is celebrating with new dog toys, cookies and an "added suprise" with their dinner tonight.
March 24, 2007	New Brunswick Kennel Club dog show, Edison, NJ: A Super Day at Islandflats! Bailey, Crystal and Logan all have an outstanding show in The Garden State ... CRYSTAL and Margaret step into the Rally ring once again, and once again they earn another qualifying score in Rally Advanced! That makes 2 legs down, one to go, as they pursue their second Rally Obedience title. In the Conformation Ring, LOGAN takes Winners Dog / Best of Winners and earns a 4 Point Major under Judge Michael H. Faulkner (handled by Margaret)! A very hyperactive Logan calmed down long enough to be examined by the judge and collect his ribbons, only to get fired up again when it came time to have his picture taken. That's just typical of our youngest boy. Back in the Rally Ring, BAILEY and Terry take their first stab at Rally Advanced and earn a qualifying score for their first leg! Our oldest boy exited the ring to applause, as nearby spectators enjoyed his performance. LYLAH -- who was not entered in the show, but came along for the ride -- had the pleasure of selecting toys for her mom and pop, as well as her uncle. Yes, she also got a toy ...
February 18, 2007	Bayshore Companion Dog Club show, Staten Island, NY: Fresh from achieving her Rally Novice title, CRYSTAL (and Margaret) "bump up" to the Advanced class in Rally Obedience. This time, they earn their first leg in Rally Advanced. We're all so proud of our big girl!
February 17, 2007	ANOTHER NEW TITLE!!! Staten Island Companion Dog Training Club show, Staten Island,NY: CRYSTAL earns her third Rally leg and completes her Rally Novice Obedience title! The team of Margaret and Crystal had a good score (96), and just missed earning a placement. Crystal is now officially known as: TLC Starlite's First Gleaming, CD RN CGC. Side Note: Crystal's littermate CODY, CH TLC Starlight of the Rockies RN JH WC CGC also completed his Rally Novice title at the same show! Not bad for a brother and sister who just recently celebrated their fifth birthday.
February 1, 2007	Crystal turns 5!! Happy birthday wishes to our little lady and all her littermates (the TLC Starlight litter)! We all celebrated with new toys and vanilla Flying Saucers from Carvel.
November 27, 2006	Her first show! Seven and one-half month old LYLAH, Islandflats American Pie strutted her stuff in the conformation ring (with Margaret) at the Holyoke Kennel Club show, in West Springfield MA. Ever so nervous, our young lady finished second in the Puppy Six to Nine Month Bitches class under judge Dr. Elizabeth F. Trainor. A little more practice and experience, and Lylah might be earning championship points before long ...

July 28 - 29, 2007	Suffolk Tail Waggers, Kings Park, NY: The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) holds their first ever Rally Obedience trials on Long Island. Bailey and Crystal are eager to compete ... Saturday, July 28 (match #1): Bailey (handled by Terry) and Crystal (handled by Margaret) both earn qualifying scores and their first legs towards the Rally Level 1 title! Later that day (match#2): Bailey earns his second leg, and he earns a 4th place finish! Sunday, July 29 (match#3): Bailey completes the third leg of his APDT - RL1 title with a 3rd place finish! He is now known as K'Mander's Goodfella Bailey RA RL1 CGC. Later that day (match #4): Bailey bumps up to the B class and earns a qualifying score with a 5th place finish! Since all his qualifying scores were 191 and higher, the APDT offered a special award of excellence to go along with Bailey's new title. Now, we need to find more space for all the new ribbons and rosettes!
July 15, 2007	A NEW AKC CHAMPION !!! Twin Brooks Kennel Club dog show, Morristown,NJ: Logan completed his championship today by going Winner's Dog, and Best of Breed for 2 points under Judge Mr. D. Roy Holloway! Logan is now known as CH K'Mander Island Runner CGC. Logan was owner-handled by Margaret for all of his conformation points! We're so proud of our boy, that we treated him to a vanilla shake and new toys in celebration of his title
July 13, 2007	Our First Flatcoated Veteran! Today we’d like to wish our first flatcoat, Bailey, K’Mander’s GoodFella Bailey RA CGC a very happy 7^th birthday! Bailey has been a treasure and a joy since he first picked us to come home with back in September of 2000. Bailey is our keeper of the couch, chief landscaper, water glutton & guardian of the youngsters. We love you! Happy Birthday, Bailey !!!!!!
July 7-8, 2007	The Yankee Classic, West Springfield, MA: It was a Star-Spangled Rally weekend for the Islandflats crew! Two NEW TITLES and one RALLY NOVICE leg! On Saturday, July 7, 2007 at the Farmington Valley Kennel Club show, Terry and Bailey entered the Rally Advanced ring and completed Bailey’s Rally Advanced title! They did a wonderful job as Bailey scored a 95 and placed 3^rd! Bailey is now: K’Mander’s GoodFella Bailey RA CGC! We would also like to share that one of Bailey’s very best friends, *Jesse* Pooh Bear CD RN entered the Rally Advanced ring for the first time and got her first RA leg, handled by her mom, Judy! On Sunday, July 8,2007 at the Naugatuck Valley Kennel Club show, Terry filled in for Margaret and handled Crystal to her final Rally Advanced leg! Of course, they did a great job as well! Crystal is now TLC Starlite’s First Gleaming CD RA CGC! and wait! ---we aren’t finished yet --- after that, 15 month old Lylah, Islandflats American Pie, went into the Rally ring for the first time, with Terry handling yet again and got her very first Rally Novice leg !!!!!!! BothCrystal and Bailey received new title rosettes courtesy of the Yankee Classic! Great job by Terry, Bailey, Crystal and Lylah!!!!!!!!
